Last weekend, Community Councillor Sarah Atherton and a group of local members attended the annual North Wales Conservative Party Forum held in Aberconwy, Llandudno.
Secretary State for Wales, the Rt. Hon. Alun Cairns opened the event by reflecting on the past year in Westminster and Cardiff Bay. Alun Cairns updated the conference on the current negotiations to leave the European Union, including the situation with Northern Ireland, the financial settlement and the rights of EU citizens.
Alun Cairns MP then went on to describe the need for a bold North Wales Growth Deal, to put power back into the hands of North Walians.
Janet Finch-Saunders AM then reflected on the fantastic council election results the Welsh Conservative Party witnessed throughout the length and breadth of Wales. She then described the need to hold Welsh Labour to account on their historic bad handling of the NHS in North Wales.
