Today, Sarah Atherton MP met members of the Wrexham Prostate Cancer Support Group to hear about the excellent work they are doing in the community. Recently, their great work was acknowledged at the Marjorie Dykins Volunteer Memorial Awards for their work over the past year, and it was great that Sarah was able to celebrate this with them too.
During the meeting, Sarah discussed their campaign for the introduction of a PSA tracker system in North Wales, which they are doing along with the Llangollen and Glan Clwyd Prostate Cancer Support Groups. The implementation and funding system for this has been agreed but there has been no action yet.
Finally, the Prostate Cancer Support Group also recently received a large grant from the Arnold Grant Community Fund, which was facilitated by Sarah and her team based in Wrexham. This is brilliant news to hear!
