Today 17th September it was announced that former Senedd Candidate, Jeremy Kent, has been selected by the local branch of the Conservative Party to stand in the upcoming by- election in Gresford, a seat formally held by Andrew Atkinson.
Commenting on his selection Jeremy Kent said:
“I am honoured to have been chosen as the County Council candidate for Gresford. I have really enjoyed working with former councillor Andrew Atkinson on local issues and hope to be able to continuing assisting residents.
“Gresford is a wonderful community and I want to keep it that way. It is especially important, that as we face the challenges brought about by the pandemic, Gresford residents have a strong voice in the council chamber; someone to bang the drum and make sure that residents are being listened to.
“I encourage all residents to contact me should they have issues they’d like to raise.”
Jeremy has echoed the concerns of a number of Gresford residence and has pledged to fight for residents’ concerns; from the closure of the GP practice, unsustainable housing developments, to potholes and refuse collection.
The announcement was welcomed by Conservative Council Group Leader Hugh Jones.
